She knew the Norwegian Eurovision winner Alexander Rybak personally. Alexander Rybak expressed his condolences to Niels’ family on his Facebook with the words: ‘Instead of complaining about life, she started her own cystic fibrosis charity and even collaborated with a brand of super cute monkeys (my house is full of them).'
Niels was a genius
Niels was able to find her way, especially with artists abroad! She was a genius at organizing large benefit events! We could also safely leave school campaigns to Niels!

‘Niels says in her own words why she wanted to be our ambassador:
‘The fact that I am committed to this foundation is that I was born with CF myself. In 2007 I had a lung transplant. Without these lungs I could never have lived the life I have now. I can now do all kinds of things such as cycling, walking, sports, sailing, visiting concerts, going on holiday by plane and so on. I would really like to see more children with CF in the future have just as beautiful a life as I have now.”
